use
A valid student ID is required to use the offers within Kultursemesterticket. Authorisation is usually checked by the venue directly at the entrance. The KST-discount is generally valid at the box office and during presale. For events with limited seating (e.g. theatre or concerts), we recommend booking seats in advance via the venue’s presale. Please note that the presale period for Kultursemesterticket may differ from regular presale options at the venue.
participating venues
You can use your Kultursemesterticket-discount at the following 18 venues in Bremen (as of summer 2024): Theater Bremen, Kunsthalle Bremen, Schwankhalle, Weserburg, Shakespeare Company, Schnürschuh Theater, steptext dance project, KulturSommer Summarum, Kulturwerkstatt Westend, Mensch, Puppe!, Bühne Cipolla, LiteraturKeller, bremer kriminal theater, AMS!-Theater, Blaumeier Ateiler, Zentrum für Kunst and Gerhard-Marcks-Haus.
ticket pricing
Admission to all institutions is free of charge within Kultursemesterticket-use. Please note that there are regular events or special exhibitions at the participating institutions that may be not included in the KST-discount. The regular admission price applies for those.
ticket purchase and reservation
Free admission is available at the box office and – if available – in presale. It is usually possible to reserve tickets in advance by telephone, online or on site. Please note that not all participating partners offer presale or reservations.
Fees
The cultural semester ticket is financed by your semester contribution. The contribution per student is € 2.10 per semester (as of summer semester 2024). Just like the semester ticket for public transport (Deutschlandsemesterticket), the offer „automatically“ applies for all students and does not have to be purchased separately.
About the project
Kultursemesterticket Bremen is organized by student representatives from the participating universities and various partners. Its goals include supporting students’ cultural interests, providing access to cultural institutions, and enhancing socio-cultural participation during their studies. Since 2019, these representatives have collaborated to establish partnerships for the ticket. Since April 2021, students have enjoyed free or reduced admission, and as of 2023, all events are free.

The offers within Kultursemesterticket are evaluated annually and adjusted by the student body if necessary. Please note that we are unable to answer questions about the programme, events and opening hours of the participating institutions. Please contact the respective venue directly.
